That made some sense to me but I can’t understand how you can ever move forward. You need to show us that. To me you look as if you’re running on the spot. And, if you move your leg back before you run doesn’t that mean the other foot is the push off one?

The demonstration is done in place so that i can explain the range of motion of your legs when you run. In actuality, your upper body is falling forward as your foot lands underneath you. That’s how you move forward. Your forward movement is not dependent on any push from your legs. You’re always falling. This is shown very clearly on our ChiRunning DVD.
