I only feel it in my hamstrings…?
Comment by John — May 7, 2009 @ 8:27 pmI was wondering what type of stretching would help me accomplish this. I can do the plank prone and supine but I don’t have the flexibility in my arms/shoulders to do this bridge. Is there a beginner bridge that would progress to this stage? I was hoping to work on these core exercises before I take a Chi clinic next month.
Comment by Cindy — September 7, 2009 @ 9:53 pmThe beginner version of the plank exercise has you doing the plank while keep your shoulders resting on the ground, not using your arms at all. As far as a stretch to help you transition into the full plank, do the yoga pose where you hold your arms together behind your back, interlock your fingers and bend over at the waist while lifting your hands above your body.
